Handmade

Handmade paper,
textured nature and the crease,
on the off white sheet
holds the love of pen
with the flowing ink.

A Lady to be

It is a lot of efforts to create something

It is very easy to destroy something

A girl at her 18 is a lady in making

a lady like poise, though the world is new

With the adolescence gone, she makes it through

The phase when she appears to be a woman

Ready for marriage, she is still a lady in making

Her dreams and confusions still keep pace

With her growing age

More complex becomes the world

When proposals come too

A young and vibrant, vivacious woman she is

And unique in her ways too

Desired by all for her age

She is not ready as she is still a lady to be.

Honeymoon

A huge open window
Pale white and cream curtains
Swaying with the cold breeze
A slight cool on my shoulder
I shiver a little and slide
to the one sleeping beside
His arms tug me inside
the forehead frown subside
He gently kisses my head
I look up to see him look outside
the window with his big eyes
I see the bright moons reflection in them
So close is he and the moon to me
I wake-up saying Honey - moon!

Dreams

Dreams are not real
but not less than reality
My senses work when I am asleep
I see, I touch, I feel, I listen, I talk, I shout, I cry and I laugh
Sometimes I am the third person
Sometimes it is my vision
A chain of dreams
A train with the boggy of thoughts
Everyday new ones
short shots and stories of different sorts
Stories till they become facts
Dreams until they become real
Mind brings and links
explanations & meanings!
Some say I dream a lot
and some - Oh! you remember!
yes I do; I remember because it makes me think,
it challenges.
As sometimes the dreamworld you want to live in
drives you to keep working..

दोनों ओर प्रेम पलता है

This is my favourite hindi poem; we had it in our 10th grade and since that time I am in love with this one! Today I was going through my collections and I found it; my lost love! It was written by Maithili Sharan Gupt.

Rains of different land

Rains of different land,
the drops are wet and the same,
visions of my land is getting dissolved in this rain,
I feel at home;
the same feeling of joy in getting soaked in the drops
from a distant cloud,
pleasure of being at a place which brings nostalgia,
and the understanding of various sentiments attached to the place
of many close to me.
I seek a place to know the unknown!

Sunset

Everyday I look outside
through the corridor window
I watch the sun turning orange;
For fraction of seconds
a thought passes by
I do not think about it much
I smile and wave the day goodbye
I am at the terrace top today
stealing time
looking at the sun waving me goodbye
with every moment the sun is changing the mood around
swirling and twirling the rays like a ribbon
changing the colours like velvets
the soft radiance and the cotton sky
looks like a bindi on the forehead of a bride
the sun is setting with the passing time;
changing the temperature slowly
it lets the moon conquer the sky
hiding itself to make us wait for it next time.
